Bridget Adams is a nature and climate finance specialist with over five years of experience designing innovative financial mechanisms to mobilize private investment for conservation outcomes. She works at the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) leading nature finance programs across Africa and Asia, including blended finance models and conservation outcome bonds for ecosystem restoration and human-wildlife coexistence. Her current work in Kenya focuses on structuring outcomes-based financing mechanisms, including insurance-based models, to address human-wildlife conflict as climate and land-use changes intensify pressure on both communities and species.
In 2025, Adams joined the High-Level Climate Champions Team as a youth fellow for finance (nature), supporting the COP30 Action Agenda to accelerate collaboration and mobilize finance for nature-positive solutions. Prior to ZSL, she led the design of a green affordable housing guarantee facility through the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance. She holds degrees in politics and economics.
Fela Akinse is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur and inventor holding multiple global patents spanning modular footwear from ocean-reclaimed plastic waste and carbon decomposition technology—shoes that capture carbon dioxide and convert it to oxygen through the natural compression of walking. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees (distinction) in environmental toxicology and pollution management from the University of Lagos. He founded Salubata, backed by Techstars, Render Capital, LACI, and Black Ambition Prize, growing it to a footprint in over forty countries. Akinse has spoken at COP28, EU/AU fora, AfDB, ChangeNow, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, TEDx, and dozens more. His carbon decomposition technology is deemed to revolutionize the entire footwear industry and extend into secondary industries including automotive and aeronautics. He is at Stanford to advance this technology from breakthrough to commercial and industrial scale.
Temra Costa is a leader in advancing circular, place-based economies rooted in regenerative natural resource management. With more than twenty years of experience, she works at the intersection of forest stewardship, rural economic development, and climate resilience to design and implement solutions that support both healthy ecosystems and thriving communities.
Costa is the director of Regenerative Forest Solutions, a nonprofit focused on research, education, and implementation of innovative approaches to forest health, including wood utilization and product development. She leads cross-sector initiatives and advises corporations, nonprofits, public agencies, and philanthropic partners on strategies related to ecological forestry, land stewardship, and forest-based bioeconomy development.
An environmentalist, author, and public speaker, Costa brings a systems-level perspective to her work, aligning ecological function with economic opportunity, informed by her hands-on experience stewarding land.
Nic De Castro is the founder and CEO of LandTrust, a marketplace that helps landowners generate income by offering access for outdoor recreation, including hunting, fishing, and camping. He founded LandTrust in 2019 to modernize how private land is accessed and monetized, replacing outdated, broker-driven models with a transparent, technology-enabled platform.
Before founding LandTrust, De Castro spent a decade in the advertising and marketing technology industry, building experience in digital platforms, growth, and marketplace dynamics. He was born in Southern California, attended school in Boston, and has lived in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boulder (CO), Bozeman (MT), and now the South—experiences that have shaped his perspective on land use, access, and regional differences across the country.
Today, De Castro leads LandTrust’s mission to align landownership, outdoor recreation, and market-based conservation, helping landowners create revenue while supporting responsible stewardship.
Juye Kim is a cross-sector energy and AI infrastructure leader driving practical solutions at the intersection of data centers, power systems, and energy transition. She brings over a decade of experience across the United States and Asia leading initiatives in distributed energy resources, demand response, and energy efficiency.
Kim’s recent work focuses on addressing the rapidly growing power demand driven by AI and data centers, with an emphasis on solutions that enhance reliability and reduce energy consumption. She has led market development and strategic partnerships in Silicon Valley, collaborating with utilities, technology companies, and research institutions.
As an Enviropreneur Fellow at the Hoover Institution, she is building platforms and networks that connect energy, infrastructure, and capital to accelerate scalable solutions for energy transition.
Annalyn Lavey built her foundation guiding mergers and acquisitions with Fortune 500 companies before spending a decade developing four major food, fiber, and fuel projects—assembling coalitions of producers, foundations, family offices, financial institutions, and local and Indigenous communities across complex landscapes. Most recently, as managing director at Hope Rock, she oversaw a large-scale land portfolio strategy in the Snake River Basin, where ecological restoration and investor returns worked in tandem. She founded Genus Lands, where that experience converges—financial discipline, years in the field, and a network earned through two decades of doing the work.
Lavey is an active advisor to Food + Planet and family office networks. She brings her work into the landscapes she cares about most—scuba diving, skiing, hiking, foraging, and fishing wherever possible. She holds a BS in accounting and ethics from the University of Colorado Boulder and lives and works in Idaho.
Karina Yamamoto is the cofounder and CEO of GridBrid, a cleantech company redefining how hybrid power plants are planned, built, and scaled to accelerate the global transition to net zero. An award-winning innovator, she has been recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30, Akimoto Award, and Peres Innovation Award for her contributions to sustainable energy innovation. With a background in finance from Harvard University, she brings a unique blend of strategic and technical expertise, driving impactful solutions that unlock the full potential of renewable energy.
