Public/Voter Opinion and the Changing Landscape of Political Parties
Group Description
We aim to examine the role of political parties in representing electorates, and how they articulate (or fail to articulate) responses to economic and political grievances. To what extent do parties present clear programmatic alternatives? How have economic shifts changed voter demands, and how have parties responded? How have illiberal populist entrepreneurs capitalized on mainstream political party failures?
