National Security Reform

Commission Description

Hoover’s Commons Initiative encompasses a newly formed National Security Reform Commission. Gathering alumni from the highest levels of past administrations, both Democratic and Republican, this commission will think strategically about how to best structure the national security apparatus to meet the pressing challenges of the national security landscape.  The scope of this review will be those intelligence and law enforcement agencies and departments that come under the purview of the National Security Council – i.e., the Justice Department/FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, the Intelligence Community, other governmental components involved in the intelligence and national security mission, and the National Security Council itself.
