Integrity of Elections

Team Description

The institution of American elections has come under unprecedented scrutiny and attack since the 2016 election. The issue of elections’ reliability is now part of the political debate. As it has become a political issue, public confidence in elections has decreased significantly. This team envisions the study of and solutions in both the short-term (from now through the 2028 elections) and the long-term (what the election system of the future should entail). While no concrete evidence has been produced to support allegations of unreliable election results, the reality is that the American election system is creaky and needs both short-term bolstering and long-term reimagining.
