The post-World War II architecture that sustained America's support for democratic movements faces fundamental restructuring. The dismantling or significant restructuring of institutions like USAID, NED, and VOA, coupled with dramatic reductions in funding for international organizations has created an opportunity for reconsidering how and why the United States supports the advancement of liberty and freedom.
